Research &
Development process
History is marked by two very important things: Innovation and progression. We often look back at the individuals who have come before us and relish in their accomplishments, remembering their feats and success as the reason we are able to flourish and grow.
More often than not, innovation paves the way for the new reality, an alternate present that starts our future anew.
A path that was laid out so clearly is suddenly lacking, a new road must be paved to accommodate change in all its forms.
Here at FGB, we admire progressives in all fields and from all different eras; they inspire us in ways that leave a lasting and welcome mark on our ideologies and beliefs.
So here we are, ready and anxious to spur a charge of our own. With your help and the diligence of our wonderful team, FGB has and is developing innovative new products unlike any other. It has taken a long time to get here but it is a step forward that needs to be taken.
Evolution is a natural part of our world and while it can be overwhelming to grasp, it is what has brought us to this very moment.
Fungilab is ready to bridge the gap with creativity and originality that will unite us unlike ever before
State of the art
Fungilab has continued to develop its business model to accommodate an ever-changing world. This is done by developing future branch locations, expanding our fantastic team, and researching/developing viscosity instruments. Fungilab’s progression is nowhere near its end. In the coming year, we expect continued growth while consistently introducing innovative products at a sound and stable pace.
We plan to meet any challenges with unique fortitude, developing and supplying equipment that leads in quality, efficiency, smart design, and value.
Accessibility is our goal for the upcoming year; customers will be able to control their data and results at the click of a button from any device at any time. Our state of the art units will provide users with quick accurate equipment at reasonable prices.
Fungilab’s top notch product development team is committed to delivering an excellent range of equipment that reflects the demand for innovative and fresh products. While our business strategy continues to evolve and change for the better, our commitment to high quality equipment and satisfying customer service will never change.
Fungilab works for the customer and manufactures products based on their feedback and needs. We abide by a strict code of improvement, efficiency, user-friendly design, connectivity, and exceptional performance.
Experimental validation
At FGB, we focus on the development and use of experimental techniques and mathematical models, as well as their application across a range of scientific disciplines to address complex, real-world challenges.
We believe that it is important to provide validations with real experimental data — when appropriate — in order to demonstrate that the method being proposed is practically useful, as well as to confirm that the claims put forth in the study are valid and correct.
Experimental validation is also an essential task for verifying the performance of a proposed method.
The increasing availability of experimental data makes it possible to validate models and predictions more effectively than ever before.
The results of the research will be subjected to validation analysis using experimental methods. These validation analyses will be performed using a variety of techniques and measurement systems, some of which are available in the R+D laboratory of Fungilab and others that will be entrusted to different universities and research centers.
The results of these analyses will be collected in a series of confidential reports. These reports can be requested at any stage of the project.
Evolution
Improved equipment performance and faster data acquisition capabilities.
Increased accuracy of results and range of application functionality.
Conceptual Stage: Sketching
Sketching is a key part of creative development, and one of the most effective visual tools for design. A concept serves as a blueprint and constitutes the foundational phase of the creative product design process, which is evaluated by the team responsible for executing product design, leading to the realization of a final product.
Our engineering designers use it as the principal approach to externalize their concepts and the drawings provide visual clues for refinement and revision. Everything is done using new computer drafting interfaces.
The goals of sketching are:
- Understanding the product, its ideas, and goals
- Identifying advantages and weaknesses when compared to competitors through market research
- Defining the target user
- Outlining tasks the product should accomplish and its responses to user actions (acceptance criteria)
- Considering monetization strategies
- Determining the number of features for the MVP and subsequent launches within a reasonable timeframe
3D Rendering
3D rendering software creates hyper-realistic depictions of our products. Computer processing power has increased rapidly over the years, allowing for a progressively higher degree of realistic rendering. It is the process of taking 3D models made in programs and generating 2D images and animations from them. The end goal is to turn that 3D data into a realistic product.
2D Outline
From 3D to 2D. Engineering drawings show all the information and requirements needed to manufacture all our new projects. We get all information and requirements such as dimensions, geometry, tolerances and material type.
As we are using the latest technology in development, all drawings are done on computers, using specialized software that helps our machinery in the manufacturing plant during the manufacturing process. Engineering drawings correlate to higher quality products, lowering the possibility of high costs that come with recalling and fixing products that don’t meet users’ expectations.
Exterior design
Fungilab is recognized worldwide as the premier manufacturer of viscosity instrumentation. Pairing innovation with efficiency, the company remains at the forefront of progression with its bold designs.
Our priority is to enhance the user experience by simplifying and streamlining their research processes at the testing phase. Sleek and innovative exterior design, easily customizable, more user friendly and accessibility. Meticulous attention to detail and the high-quality standards.
The exterior design of our new products is considered to be highly creative. The design language allows for the almost complete reconstruction of the exterior design of Fungilab new products. The syntax of this styling language consists of so- called characteristic lines and elements (“design genes”) and is used to create a graphical representation of Fungilab products.
Our design is what defines the company inside and outside. It is more than the way something looks.
Digitalization & Component integration
As an organization focused on developing effective products and solutions, FGB doesn’t just build hardware, but also rigorously tests it to ensure long-term sustainability and performance for our customers.
This stage is one of the final phases in our product development process that validates the complete integration of the product. The purpose of this part of the development process is to evaluate the end-to-end system specifications and provide information about the quality of a product.
Component integration is done to ensure that all the functions of the system work as intended after the various components or modules of the system are integrated.
Integration testing is pivotal to ensure that individually tested units work together seamlessly as a whole. This testing is not just a checkpoint, but a methodology that bridges the gap between unit testing and system testing.
The purpose of the test is to evaluate the end-to-end system specifications and provide information about the quality of a product. In order to consider a hardware project a success, the product needs to meet the stated objectives and functional requirements defined by the QA engineers.
Benefits at this stage:
- Accelerating the time-to-market for products.
- Improved accuracy especially with automated testing.
- Seamless operations, better user experience.
- Faster development and delivery.
Molds / Prototypes
Here is where everything and everyone meet. Our engineering designers and manufacturing engineers work close together.
This tag-team approach aligns design intent with manufacturing best practices.
Prototyping is a critical step in product development as it creates physical manifestations of product concepts and tests them before committing to full-scale.
However, prototyping can be a major investment, requiring custom mold fabrication, material selection, process setting, and quality testing.
With the right approach to prototyping, FGB product developers can gather critical product feedback, optimize designs, and minimize tooling rework down the line. This reduces overall development risk and time-to-market.
Fluid Molds & Mechanization of pieces
Injection molding is an important plastic processing method. Details on the important information pertaining to IMM provides an overview that basically summarizes what should be considered to ensure that the molded product meets performance requirements and provides a good return on investment to produce all types and shapes of products for all types of markets.
There are many different types of IMMs that permit molding many different products, based on factors such as quantities, sizes, shapes, product performance, or economics.
